To those with 3qt size, are you happy with that size or would you have preferred the 6 qt size?
Answer:
I have a 3 qt and a 6 qt. I use both. If we want left overs(just the 2 of us) I use the 6 qt. Small batches or side dishes the 3 qt.

Lid for slow cooking
Answer:
For slow cooking, proofing, and yogurt/farmer cheese-making I always just use a lid that fits my pot from one of my other pans. If you have a lot of pans then there really isn’t any need to purchase a “special” Instant pot slow cooker lid accessory because a regular lid will work just great.
