The “cubes” are actually round and hollow. Small are about half inch long and roughly diameter of your pinky; large are same length and twice the diameter size. Works well and fast.

Can you wait until the bucket is full before you empty it

Yes but it has hard time Filling up because it’s sensitive one little ice cube get stuck on the drop off Tray and he thinks the bucket is full Kinda have to monitor it to make sure it’s filling up or the ice will melt and start all over not sure what the issue is but I’m hoping for a replacement product or a refund.

It looks like it has some sort of drawer on the bottom front. Is it to pull out ice as well?

There is no drawer. The only way to access the ice is through the lid on the top. This is the case with every portable ice maker I have seen. I love this ice maker!
